Once you have connected with your DC partner, you will see their name in the DC tab of your Supply page. Also shown is the number of Connected Supply objects that you have set up for each connection, and summary performance.

Click on the Direct Connection name to go to your page for that connection. This brings you to the Connected Supply tab, where you will see the information for all of the currently active Connected Supply .

In the settings tab, set your account manager for this connection. You will also see the Direct Connection's set contact information for the account manager on their end.

Creating Connected Supply

Connected Supply replaces Supply Tags in Direct Connect. There are three ways to create DC supply in your SpringServe account.

  1. On the Supply page, click the +Supply button and select Connected Supply. A modal will appear showing your DC partners; select a partner to create Connected Supply.
  2. On the Direct Connect tab of the Supply page, navigate to a DC partner and click +Connected Supply
  3. Duplicate a Supply Tag as Connected Demand: on any Supply Tag page, click the Duplicate Tag button and select To Connected Supply. A modal will appear showing your DC partners; select a partner and click Duplicate.

Connected Supply is set up in the same manner as a Supply Tag. On the settings tab, you can enter the name, rate, and the name of the Connected Demand in your partner's account. You may want to specify the Connected Demand Name if you are creating a number of Connected Supply objects at the same rate that have different targeting. If you do not specify the Connected Demand Name, it will default to Partner Name $x where x is the rate. On the settings page, you can also specify Demand Tag Overrides and Advanced settings such as IVT detection, group, and notes.

In the Demand tab, add demand to your Connected Supply. Click the +Demand and a modal will appear with your Demand, both managed tags and DC. Check the boxes next the Demand that you would like to add and click Add Demand. Connected Supply uses a traditional waterfall, like your managed tags. You also have the option to used a tiered waterfall and to lock tags at a priority.

When you set targeting on your Connected Supply, only those requests that pass targeting will come through the Direct Connection. This feature reduces your ad-operations load, because you will not have to confirm with your partners that they have updated targeting on their side. In the Targeting tab, as with Supply Tags, you can target based on Domain, Size, Device, OS, and Country. Additionally, you can apply Supply Tag Targeting, where you can create an allowlist or blocklist of your Direct Connection's endpoint supply tag IDs. This feature allows you to target tags that are performing well and optimize against those which are performing poorly.

Auto-Optimization is on by default for your Connected Supply. If you prefer to optimize your waterfall manually, disable Optimization.

When you Create a Connected Supply object, the corresponding Connected Demand object will appear in your Direct Connection's account. Once your Direct Connection aligns their Connected Demand to supply in their account, you will see traffic coming through your Connected Supply.
